Mark P Sullivan

Managing Partner - Marketing

While studying Spanish at Emory University in Atlanta, Mark developed a deep appreciation for Latin America. He moved to Spain in 2002 to improve his Spanish at the Universidad de Salamanca and has made trips to several Latin American countries including Mexico, Panama, and Ecuador where he executed a sociological study of shamanism in the Amazonian basin. Mark graduated from Emory’s Spanish language degree program with an emphasis on Latin American society, economy, literature, and history.

Mark began his professional life working under the charismatic businesswoman Jan Smith, entrepreneur and founder of the Center for Authentic Leadership. Mark says the following about working in the marketing division at the Center, “Capturing Jan Smith's transformational work in the company's brand remains one of the most fulfilling and challenging projects I’ve worked on to date.”

Returning to Atlanta after a 3 month trip through Central America, Mark began working for the start-up newswire TWN (TransWorldNews.com) in public relations and marketing. He played an integral role in the 7-person-team that successfully launched TransWorldNews, which has since released Finditt.com and YourFindIt.com. While working at TWN Mark learned the necessary considerations for entrepreneurial success. He carried this experience to the start-up venture Charitable Asset Conversion, where he worked in public relations and logistics. At CAC Mark learned two crucial lessons: 1. the importance of managing several responsibilities in order to get a business running; and 2. the importance of effective partnerships in a venture's success.

In November of 2006 Mark finally gave in to the silent tug of Nicaragua and made the move south to San Juan del Sur, where he worked in marketing and sales at Century 21 Gold Coast Realty for a year and a half. He left Century 21 in July 2008 to start ProNica Development with Adam Harris (also from Century 21) and Nathan Beck, who relocated to San Juan del Sur from Durango, Colorado.
Mark brings to ProNica Development entrepreneurial expertise in public relations, marketing, and internet technology.
