ProNica Development guiding principles

Social Responsibility, Environmental Sustainability, and Respect for Regulatory Authorities sum up ProNica's firm commitment to leave every community, place, or business better than we found it.

Whether reviewing prospective clients or considering our own business's impact, we use 3 criteria to qualify business decisions:

  • Social Commitment - Does the venture incorporate structural benefits for the local community? Nicaragua is a country bursting with opportunities to enhance the standard of living of locals, very often at a low or zero cost to established businesses.

  • Environmental Sustainability - Does the venture consider the environmental impact and subsequent sustainability issues that may arise? We believe that every business can implement measures to mitigate the impact on the environment and ensure a sustainable business model. Development in Western countries has given us many examples of how to make (and how not to make) sustainable business models.
  • Regulatory Cooperation - Does the venture include the Nicaraguan authorities in the process of developing the business or exclude until approval is needed? There are regulatory bodies that guide development in Nicaragua like anywhere else. ProNica Development employs a development model that empowers the authorities at the beginning of a project's inception, thereby creating positive relationships with the government bodies that hold veto power over the project's approval.
