Upward Mobility's goal is to empower people through an array of educational initiatives.
Upward Mobility is a foundation started by ProNica Development and funded by 10% of the company's profits, in addition to private donations. The foundation's primary purpose is to cultivate, through educational initiatives, the ability of Nicaraguans to create a better life for themselves and their community.
Upward Mobility coordinates educational opportunities and empowers local business owners and tradespeople through training workshops. Always wary of the one-size-fits-all approach to solving problems, the foundation looks for creative means to reach our ends. For those at the bottom, it may involve providing financial support for promising, but financially disadvantaged students. For the small business owner or tradesperson, we may sponsor weekend-long business seminars and round tables discussions that focus on management principles and planning for growth.
